For over 15 years, Samantha Roach and Donna Pinnock have served together at Yarl’s Wood, carrying a shared heart for women in pain. Both have walked through their own experiences of trauma, Samantha journeying from deep brokenness to hope, and Donna overcoming a broken heart shaped by childhood trauma. Their healing stories give them a profound compassion for the women they support and a desire to see others step into emotional healing, freedom and renewed purpose.

Samantha, a devoted Christian, wife and mother, leads Beauty for Ashes, a ministry born from her own transformation. She uses her journey and her training as an ACC qualified practitioner to help women reclaim identity, worth and inner freedom. Her approach blends spiritual sensitivity with therapeutic tools such as CBT, Person Centred work and creative interventions, guiding women from wounds to wholeness.

Donna, married to her husband Otis for 32 years, brings an enlarged heart for the broken shaped by her own lived experience of loss, pain and restoration. As a Marriage Consultant and Director of the City Building Initiative (CBI), she is passionate about helping individuals and families thrive. At Yarl’s Wood, she offers encouragement, dignity and practical support, standing alongside Samantha as part of the Beauty for Ashes team.

Together, they co lead Freedom Workshops with a team of likeminded women safe, nurturing spaces where women can process trauma, discover healing, reclaim confidence and rise into God given purpose. Their combined compassion, wisdom and testimony create an atmosphere where freedom and transformation becomes possible.
