Imaging Clinical Practice Educators are hosting this event. We ensure that all Diagnostic Radiography students have the opportunity for hands-on experience, putting what they have been taught at university into practice in an inclusive, supportive, and safe environment. The team works closely with universities, holding regular meetings with academic staff to ensure a collaborative approach that benefits students and promotes patient-centred care. As part of this role, we offer pastoral support, recognising the many challenges the student faces in the training. We create an individual placement for each student that ensures, over the three years, all students have access to the many imaging departments to complete their placement portfolio within UHL (University Hospitals of Leicester). The team regularly conducts clinical teaching and debrief sessions with all students to ensure that each individual is meeting their targets and professional expectations, thereby preparing them for HCPC registration.
