UnSheltered Austin
Unsheltered Austin is a grassroots community initiative dedicated to the belief that no one in our city should be forced to sleep on the streets. Founded in 2021, we focus on immediate, direct-to-neighbor impact by providing emergency relief to individuals and families facing eviction, medical emergencies, or utility crises.
Our philosophy is "Each One, Reach One"—the idea that ripples of change spread across a community when we each take responsibility for one neighbor. We host community-driven fundraising events, awareness campaigns, and donation drives designed to mobilize Austin residents to support those at risk of falling through the cracks.
We operate with 100% transparency: every dollar donated to our fund goes directly to third-party providers (landlords, hospitals, and utility companies) to ensure our neighbors stay safe, housed, and hopeful. We don't just provide aid; we work to shift the narrative of homelessness from one of character to one of circumstance. Join us in ending homelessness, one neighbor at a time.
