Wu Yue Dance Studio Arts Troupe

Wu Yue Dance Studio Arts Troupe (former Chin Kang Huay Kuan Dance Troupe that established in 1977) is a non-profitable society which aims to promote local cultural arts through dance activities; nurture young talents in dance; and provide opportunities for community contribution in arts appreciation and for participation in performing arts. Its vision is to establish a troupe of dance members with strong dance passion, skills for production of high-quality performing work, good self-discipline and physical well-being. Training and dance lessons, with focus on Chinese dance besides contemporary dance and other cultural dances, are delivered by the Artistic Director, Mdm Gan Beng Lee and its senior dance members who have obtained their graded Chinese Dance certificates from the BDA (Beijing Dance Academy) dance examination board.

Wu Yue has organized its dance concerts, Dance Image (2008, 2012, 2014, 2018) and has received positive feedback, with notable mention of creative choreography and the high level of performance quality. Wu Yue is also a supporter of bringing arts to the community, having presented New Rhythm (2009, 2010, 2016, 2023) - a platform for the community to appreciate arts.
