Becoming a Friend of the World : The Six Perfections - Part 2
Tuesday evenings with Gen Kelsang Rabka (in-person or live-streamed)
7.30 – 8.45pm: Nov 4, 11, 18
Discover a path to a more meaningful and compassionate life through the ancient practice of The Six Perfections. The Six Perfections provide timeless guidance for personal growth – cultivating inner peace, resilience, and the ability to tap into our mind's limitless potential.
This is the second set of three classes exploring this topic, during which we'll continue to explore simple yet profound mental trainings, both in and out of meditation, on the qualities of an awakened heart. (There is no need to have attended any previous classes if you're interested coming along – each class is self-contained!)
During the series you'll learn how to integrate The Six Perfections into your daily life to cultivate:
- Week 1 (covered in previous series) – Generosity: Open your heart and mind, finding joy in the practice of giving.
- Week 2 (covered in previous series) – Moral Discipline: Cultivate a sense of inner integrity, harmony and mental discipline.
- Week 3 (covered in previous series) – Patience: Learn to stay calm, accepting and centred in the face of life’s challenges.
- Week 4 (Nov 4) – Effort: Find the sustained energy and inspiration to pursue our mental trainings through to completion.
- Week 5 (Nov 11) – Concentration: Develop a strong, stable and clear mind through focused training in meditation.
- Week 6 (Nov 18) – Wisdom: See the world and yourself with deeper clarity and understanding.
This engaging series is designed for anyone, regardless of background or belief, who is curious about meditation and its power to transform. This isn't just about sitting on a cushion; it's about building a foundation for inner peace and happiness that you can carry with you everywhere. Join us to find your inner compass and navigate life with greater skill and kindness.
