Invest in Yourself: Healthy Habits for 2026

Wednesday mornings with Gen Kelsang Rabka (in-person or live-streamed)

11am – 12.15pm: Jan 7, 14 & 21

Start 2026 off on the right foot by investing in yourself for a happier, healthier New Year!

At the beginning of every year we often make resolutions to engage in certain activities that we know are good for us. But so often as time goes by our determination wanes and we find ourselves engaging less and less with that activity until we give it up completely. This is because we do not have the tools to sustain our enthusiasm and joyful effort.

Meditation is crucial to our emotional and even physical well-being, yet fitting it into our busy daily lives can feel challenging. The truth is that none of us ever have the time for the things that matter, we need to make the time. And if we deeply wish for something, making time becomes easy.

During this 3-week New Year course, our Resident Teacher Buddhist monk Gen Kelsang Rabka will share practical advice on how to establish a healthy habit of meditation, and how to use it to cultivate two additional healthy habits of mind that we can resolve ourselves to train in during 2026 for a happier, healthier year ahead.

  • Week 1 — Meditation: Developing and sustaining a meditation practice in 2026
  • Week 2 — Gratitude: Developing genuine warmth by seeing the kindness that is all around us
  • Week 3 — Joy: Increasing our mind of delight and joy

This course will be followed by more detailed courses focused on overcoming anger and frustration, overcoming attachment, and developing the healthy habit of gratitude and loving, to support you throughout 2026 on your journey toward a more joyful and peaceful year ahead.
