WHAT?

BATIK is an ancient art form where designs on fabric are created using wax. Participants will be using vibrant batik dyes and resist material to create their own batik paintings using patterns. The course will cover history of batik painting, colour theory, fundamental design, techniques of batik painting including blending and elements of art. The fabric can then be used for coaster design, book covers, pouches or simply framed up for decorative purposes.

The artwork featured in this listing are examples of Batik Painting and are not indicative of the actual course work.
