About this Event
Emotional Intelligence (EQ) is the ability to understand and manage our own emotions and the emotions of others around. With this skill, we are able to communicate with people and situations more productively - so as to live life to our maximum satisfaction.
In this programme, the knowledge of EQ skills is complemented with the basics of Transactional Analysis (TA) – a concept which helps us understand why we behave the way we do and why others behave the way they do.
The focus of the Workshop will be on the productive skills necessary to connect and engage with people in our personal lives – with family, friends or colleagues.
Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course, you will be able to:
• Identify the factors that make up EQ of person
• Explain and identify the basic ego states of a person in TA
• Identify and demonstrate communication skills in using productive ego states
• Identify, demonstrate and apply empathetic communication
• Apply strengths of the different styles of conflict management
Trainer Profile:
Ms Wong Lai Chun (MSc, BA, DIP TM, Cert Counselling) was a Senior Assistant Director of Samaritans of Singapore (SOS), a 24-hour hotline for suicide prevention and the author of the book published in 2019 – ‘Do I Matter’. She is also a Certified Behavioural Consultant and Life Coach from Institute of Motivational Living Inc. (USA) American University of NLP. She has many years of training locally and internationally and speaks at international conferences and company events, and on radio and TV programmes.
