About this event
Join us for an exciting 5-day Holiday Camp where children dive into a world of creativity and innovation! Designed to spark curiosity, this hands-on camp invites kids to explore a variety of make-and-build projects—encouraging experimentation, enhancing dexterity, and strengthening both creative and critical thinking skills. Each day brings a new opportunity to learn, create, and have fun through purposeful play and exploration.
On Day 1 to 3, Students will learn to design a home for their family by applying Design Thinking principles to understand the needs and challenges of the people they are designing for. They will be introduced to the fundamentals of space planning to create thoughtful and functional home layouts.
Every child's home design is uniquely created to cater to the needs of his/her family
On Day 4 and 5, students will Design an Animal Sanctuary and learn how intentional design can support animal welfare and create harmony between wildlife and urban environments. By focusing on a specific animal, from a core list of penguins, monkeys, elephants, or otters, or a self-chosen species, they will research its specific needs and apply that knowledge to design a safe and dignified sanctuary.
Over the course of the camp, students will first brainstorm and sketch a preliminary design before beginning to build a three-dimensional prototype using various materials. The second day is dedicated to refining their creations and preparing for a final presentation. This project-based experience goes beyond simple design, encouraging students to consider the importance of conservation, coexistence, and how sanctuaries, unlike traditional zoos, prioritize an animal's well-being and natural behaviours.
A safe space for elephants to live in their habitat
A protected space where otters can freely live and play in
