Half-Day Course: How to Improve Your Sleep – Meditations to Calm the Mind

Sun 7th Dec | 10am – 1pm

with Buddhist Teacher, Lynn

Are you tired of lying awake in bed, unable to switch off your thoughts? In our demanding modern world, it's becoming increasingly common to struggle with sleep, but it’s a problem you can solve.

Buddhist meditation techniques are tried and tested methods that help us let go of worries, frustrations, and anxieties — the main obstacles to inner peace in general, and restful sleep in particular. By using these methods to create greater peace of mind, you’ll become able to guide yourself to restful mental states that will enable you to relax, let go of worries and anxieties, and set up the conditions for greater peace of mind, which will naturally improve your ability to sleep.

During the workshop, you’ll learn:

  • How to calm your mind and cultivate a peaceful state of being;
  • How to let go of the negative thoughts and emotions that keep you up at night;
  • What to do you when you still can’t sleep (practical guidance for those restless moments); and
  • Simple yet powerful meditations you can do every day to establish inner peace.

This course will include:

  • Guided Meditations: Engage in calming and soothing meditations specifically designed to release mental tension and subdue agitated states of mind, preparing you for deep, natural sleep.
  • Formal Teaching: Receive practical advice and teachings on the inner causes of restlessness and worry, giving you the wisdom needed to maintain a peaceful mind, both day and night.
  • Question & Answer: Have your questions about applying these techniques answered, ensuring you walk away knowing how to confidently use what you've learned to improve your sleep quality.

Gain the tools and knowledge to overcome your restless mind and enjoy a good night’s sleep.

Everyone is welcome to attend this course and no prior experience is necessary. Because space in our Centre is limited, do consider booking early if you wish to attend.
