Half-Day Retreat: Finding Balance
Overview
Half-Day Retreat: Finding Balance
Sun 18th Jan | 9am – 1pm
with Buddhist Teacher, LeeWay
"When we gain the realization of equanimity our mind becomes peaceful and we do not feel disturbed whatever our circumstances. ... If everyone were to develop equanimity they would not be governed by attachment and hatred, and they would find freedom from suffering."
– Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche
Take a Sunday morning out of your busy schedule to join us for this brief, half-day retreat, offering you the opportunity to step back from the busyness and stresses of daily life and experience the sheer vastness and utter flexibility of your own mind through meditation.
During this retreat, we will be training in the sublime meditations that give rise to equanimity – a warm and friendly feeling towards all living beings. This precious state of mind frees us from unbalanced attitudes such as anger, jealousy and fear – states of mind that disturb our inner peace – and as a result we will find that many of our own personal problems are overcome.
What to Expect:
- Simple and effective guided meditations
- Practical advice for deepening our experience of meditation on equanimity
- Time for contemplation and Q&A in a tranquil setting
This retreat is suitable for beginners to meditation and experienced meditators alike – everybody is welcome! However do note that spaces are limited to a maximum of 26, so we recommend booking your spot in advance.
