Half-Day Retreat: The Magical Practice of Giving

Sun, 26th Oct | 9am – 1pm
with Buddhist Teacher, Kandhi

The Buddhist meditation practice of "giving by means of love" is an unparalleled method for cultivating a truly compassionate heart and expanding our capacity for joy. This profound ancient technique naturally releases us from the painful focus on our own concerns, replacing it with a limitless wish to see others happy. It has the power to transform our relationships, increase our mental peace, and allow us to experience the deep satisfaction of genuine generosity. It's one of the key meditations used to propel us towards our own enlightenment.

During this retreat, we will receive practical commentary and guided instruction on this extraordinary meditation. In this way, through the course of the morning, we will develop and deepen our familiarity with the practice of "giving" and learn how to use this powerful technique in our daily life to effortlessly benefit both ourself and others.

What to Expect:

  • Simple and effective guided meditations
  • Practical advice for deepening our experience of meditation on loving-kindness
  • Time for contemplation and Q&A in a tranquil setting

This half-day retreat is suitable for beginners to meditation and experienced practitioners alike – everybody is welcome! However do note that spaces are limited to a maximum of 26, so we recommend booking your spot in advance.

If you're new to the meditation on giving by means of love and would like to familiarise yourself with it prior to the retreat, you can find an explanation of this meditation in the chapter on "Taking and Giving" in the free eBook, How to Transform Your Life.
