Blessing Empowerment of Buddha Manjushri & Teachings on Emptiness

Wisdom will never deceive us. It is our inner Spiritual Guide who leads us to the correct path. With wisdom, our mind is always balanced and comfortable. In particular, the wisdom that realizes the true nature of reality has the power to liberate us completely from the pains of samsara, and give us tremendous power to benefit others through attaining enlightenment. Through receiving the blessings of the Wisdom Buddha Manjushri, we can develop wisdom in our own mind and in this way find the true meaning of our human life.

During this special weekend event, Gen Rabka will grant the blessing empowerment of Buddha Manjushri and give teachings and commentary to this practice. Following this, he will give teachings on the wisdom of ultimate truth, emptiness.

Who is Buddha Manjushri?

Manjushri is known as "The Wisdom Buddha" because he is the synthesis of the omniscient wisdom of all the Buddhas. Through receiving the special blessings of Wisdom Buddha Manjushri we will make a special connection with this Buddha that will enable us to develop and increase our own wisdom. With the attainment of wisdom, we can fulfill our own wishes as well as others' wishes, and we can dispel our own inner darkness of ignorance as well as dispel and eliminate others' ignorance. In this way, we can awaken ourselves from the sleep of ignorance and become an awakened one, a Buddha, who is free from every kind of fault and suffering, and who is able to effortlessly benefit all living beings.

What is an empowerment?

An empowerment is a special guided meditation through which we make a deep, heartfelt connection with a particular Buddha and receive their inspiration and blessings. The enlightened mind is said to be like a boundless deep ocean, every drop of which has the power to bring inner peace to living beings. Receiving an empowerment is a means of connecting with this expansive potential inside our own mind, giving us the energy and wisdom to begin to realize our own Buddha nature.

Are there any commitments I should know about?

Everything will be clearly explained during the empowerment, and there is no requirement to take any commitments. It is possible to take the empowerment simply with a good motivation to benefit ourself and be of benefit to others.
