Event Description
Engeco presents a unique experience - an interactive and engaging platform that allows you to test sustainability solutions and scenarios of climate action with the C-ROADS World Climate, a state-of-the-art real-time simulation designed by MIT. This model-based workshop reflects the United Nations processes around solving some of the world’s biggest issues. Participants will play world leaders who must agree on a sustainable way forward for the planet and hopefully limit global warming well below 2°C.
The workshop will help participants understand the complexities of these global challenges and provide insights into global programs such as climate change negotiations and the sustainable development goals. As these national and international frameworks ultimately filter down to corporations, participants can use the outcomes of this exercise to help with setting their own business goals, ensuring they reflect future national and international policy expectations. The MIT models can also be used to guide decision making in companies.
Objectives
-
Gain insights on how the UN climate change negotiations are implemented
-
Create dialogue about sustainability in Singapore amongst industry-professionals
-
Learn how to analyse data and trends using the C-ROADS simulation model to assess opportunities and propose green solutions for countries, organisations you work for, and individuals
Takeaways
The simple data visualisation will help participants interpret results easily and will allow them to understand how politics affect climate change discussions and policies. Increase your negotiation skills whilst addressing one of the greatest human and environmental challenges by coming up with viable strategic solutions that can be adopted in businesses today.
