Riding the Emotional Waves (Secondary)
This interactive workshop allows Secondary School students learn how to navigate emotions with greater awareness and choice
This event is exclusively for Secondary School Students.
Theme: Emotional Regulation
This session helps students understand and manage emotions in a practical and supportive way. Students learn how emotions show up in the body and mind, and why reacting quickly can sometimes make situations harder. Using age-appropriate mindfulness practices, students are guided to pause, notice their feelings, and respond more skilfully. The session emphasises that emotions are normal and temporary, helping students feel more confident in handling challenges at school and in relationships.
Learning Objectives:
- Recognise emotions as natural body-mind responses
- Identify early signs of emotional activation
- Pause and ground before reacting
- Respond to emotions with greater awareness
