About this event

(This workshop is intended for adults.)

Roll Persuasion: How to Be an Effective Communicator With Your Child image

It can be rough trying to reach out to older children and teens. On one hand, they are coming of age and are gaining in maturity; on the other, they can be even more rebellious, doing things that go against their parents' wishes.

Roll Persuasion — A Workshop by Swords & Stationery

In this highly engaging and interactive workshop hosted by Swords & Stationery (S&S)—the world's first game-based programme for dyslexics—and in collaboration with Games @ PI, attendees will learn about the struggles of children and teens during the growing up phase, as well as how to anticipate and manage them.

We'll show you the best practices for effective communication and how you can apply them to work on or maintain your relationship with your child. You'll also get a glimpse at our Symptom-Diagnosis-Prescription framework—our in-house method used to manage difficult children.

Of course, it won't be an "S&S workshop" if we don't bring up the topic of games: specifically, how they can help your child to learn without tears.

And yes, active participation is required (but have no fear, we're not going to make anyone present anything).
