Music can unlock the mind, soothe the body and open the heart. While we often hear of the power of music, it really is true!
💡 What can you expect from this session?
In this interactive talk, professional music therapists will be sharing on how music is used during music therapy in palliative care. They will be sharing real life stories, and also engaging participants experientially in music.
It is in the hope that participants will discover the wonders of a simple but significant song of the heart.

✨ About the Facilitators
Ms Cassandra Seah, Music Therapist, Association for Music Therapy (Singapore)
Cassandra is a senior allied health professional, dually trained in occupational therapy and music therapy. She has been caring for paediatric and adolescent patients for over a decade in different settings.Her main interest lies in paediatric palliative care. Currently, she supports children with serious illness and their families at Star PALS (Paediatric Advanced Life Support), a community specialised paediatric palliative care programme under HCA Hospice, Singapore.
Ms Camellia Soon, Music Therapist, Association for Music Therapy (Singapore)
Camellia currently works as a senior music therapist at St Luke's Hospital. Her main interest is in palliative care, dementia care, mental health and working with individuals with diverse health needs. She holds a Master’s degree in Creative Music Therapy. Camellia was previously providing music therapy at Dover Park Hospice and also working in the Institute of Mental Health as a senior vocational specialist. She received the Community Care Excellence Award (Silver) in 2023 for her work in end-of-life care. Her interest is to see patients recover the sense of self through music.
