Approach: There will be presentations, discourses, mindfulness practices, journaling and group discussions. Attending every class is strongly encouraged as each class builds on the previous.


Schedule: 8 weekly sessions plus a half day retreat (All sessions and retreat must be attended to receive a completion certificate)

National Silver Academy

  • NSA subsidy is for Singaporeans and Permanent Residents aged 50 and above.

SkillsFuture Credit

  • In addition to NSA subsidy, course fee may be offset by SkillsFuture Credit (SFC).
  • All ticket purchases intended for SkillsFuture Credit claims will incur a non-refundable administrative fee of $20.

Step 1 (on Skillsfuture Website): Check your SkillsFuture credit balance.

Log into your SkillsFuture Portal to confirm you have sufficient SkillsFuture Credit balance (Take note: $4K SkillsFuture Career Transition Credits CANNOT be used for Brahm Centre courses).

Step 2 (on Eventbrite Website): Securing your ticket.

On Eventbrite, search for the course you are interested in.

Step 3 (on Eventbrite Website): Select correct ticket type & complete registration.

Select the intended Ticket Type (either NSA+SkillsFuture or SkillsFuture) and complete your registration. Upon successful registration, you will receive a confirmation e-mail containing information about the course.

Save/Screenshot the confirmation. (you will use this in the following steps)


Step 4 (on Skillsfuture Website): Submit your SkillsFuture claim.

Go back to the SkillsFuture Portal to submit a claim under 'E-Services'.

Please submit your SkillsFuture credit claim 60 days BEFORE the course commencement, for it to be valid. Deadline to submit SFC Claim is one week prior to course commencement.


Step 5 (on Skillsfuture Website):

If your SFC submission was completed successfully, the status of your submission would reflect as "PENDING".

Your registration is confirmed after your SkillsFuture claim status reflect as "APPROVED".

*Should you choose to cancel your SFC claim before the start date, Brahm Centre reserves the right to impose a penalty fee for course withdrawal.

  • Course payments are non-refundable, non-transferable.
  • There are NO make-ups if you miss any of the art course sessions.
  • Missing a session does not disqualify you from taking part in the course - the trainer is not obligated to recap what was missed.
  • Brahm Centre reserves the right to replan the course should the trainer be unable to conduct the class due to unforeseen circumstances.

Trainer Bio:

Adj. A/Prof Angie Chew is the Founder and CEO of Brahm Centre, a charity with over 50 staff, dedicated to promoting healthier and happier living. In recognition of her contributions in the mental health space, she was named “The Straits Times Singaporean of the Year 2019”.

She is the first certified Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction teacher in Singapore conferred by the Mindfulness Center at Brown University School of Public Health, in collaboration with UMASS Memorial Health Care’s Center for Mindfulness. Angie is also a certified Dot-b and Paws-b Mindfulness teacher from the Mindfulness in Schools Project (UK). In addition, she is a Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy Course teacher trained by Oxford University Mindfulness Centre.

Angie is also an Adjunct Associate Professor of Mindfulness at the National University of Singapore. She has conducted mindfulness courses, workshops and retreats to more than 10,000 people across all ages.

Her corporate clients extend across various industry sectors - from healthcare (Ministry of Health, National Health Group, SingHealth, Institute of Mental Health, Agency for Integrated Care, Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Community Psychology Hub), education institutions (Ministry of Education, Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, Hwa Chong Institution, Raffles Institution, NUS High School, Dunman Secondary, Nanyang Girls’ High School, St Anthony's Canossian Secondary) to finance (DBS, OCBC, BOS and Goldman Sachs), just to name a few.

Prior to her founding of the Brahm Centre in 2012, she served in senior positions at Singapore Airlines, Visa International, Accenture, Hewlett Packard and government agencies.
